Most of the search engine marketers have used the Google AdWords Keyword Tool since long, no matter they did use Google AdWords or not. All the more, this was the first tool that was made available to the webmasters. It helped a great way in finding the keyword suggestions and build up the keyword list. However, there are many users who are unsure about the availability of this tool in the near future. They are receiving a notice that states the above said fact about the tool. So, the users are being directed to a new keyword planner that has been launched this year.

To understand it better, the keyword planner just combines the keyword tool and the traffic estimator. This clearly implies that the advertisers who make use of Google can also see the traffic estimates apart from the suggested keywords. This can be done at the same time, along with any other relevant data on Google. There are actually a lot of data that are used to seeing the keyword tool like the ad share statistics, which still hasn’t been integrated into the keyword planner. As per what the Google says, it is working on the addition of an altogether new column that would give an insight into the ad impression share data.

Apart from this, the local search trends and the search share columns have also been removed lately. Meanwhile, there are also other sets of data that can only be seen when a person searches for a specific data, or if the person accesses some of your historic statistics. This new planner is still free of cost, but demands the users to have an account for Google AdWords and that you should be logged on so that you can use it.

The new keyword planner tool was launched by Google on the 20th of May. Blogs have been posted in this regard that suggest that the sun would be setting over the keyword tool and on the traffic estimator in 60 days. This clearly states that the tool could go undercover within 2 to 3 weeks. In case the users are not online, the Google AdWords tool page would itself state that the tool would no longer be available, and you would need to sign in to your account and try the keyword planner. But there are actually some months before it comes up with the new update.

It is not too good seeing another valuable Google tool go by the strict rules. But it shouldn’t affect many search marketers as they already have an account on the AdWords, and thus it should not be much troublesome for those who want data that are provided by the new Keyword Planner.
